Salvatore Piazza


Salvatore Piazza, first trumpet of the Teatro Massimo Foundation Orchestra and trumpet professor at the "V. Bellini" Conservatory of Palermo, began his musical studies at the age of six with his father, Studia Composition and Instrumentation for band, in 1984 he graduated with honors in Trumpet at the "V. Bellini" Conservatory of Palermo, winner of two national competitions (the Teatro Massimo di Palermo in 1985, and the Orchestra of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome in 1986 participating in the 1987/88 season). He carries out an intense artistic activity both as first trumpet and soloist and as director. He has been a guest in various concerts and seasons in Italy and abroad such as: Germany, Japan, Finland, Oman. He has played under the guidance of famous conductors such as: Giuseppe Sinopoli, Leonard Bernstain, Zubin Metha, Jury Temirkanov, Hubert Soudant, etcc ...... .. He has recorded with the orchestra of the Teatro Massimo di Palermo as the first trumpet, with the Panormus Brass (Brass quintet of the Teatro Massimo of Palermo) with the Mediterranean Philharmonic Brass. Co-founder of the super Ottoni of the Teatro Massimo. As conductor he recorded with the Symphonic Orchestra and the Wind Ensemble of the "V. Bellini" Conservatory of Palermo for the Wicky Music record company in Milan. Founder and director of the Sicilian Brass Philharmonic at the V. Bellini Conservatory of Music in Palermo. He teaches in summer specialization courses.
