Alejandro Gómez Hurtado
With only 17 years, he finished his bachelor degree of trumpet.
Alejandro had the privilege of being admitted as student by prestigious teacher Luis
Later he was personally selected to study the post grade of his instrument in the
Hochschule für Musik Hans Eisler in Berlin under the guidance of teachers Thomas
Clamor and William Forman.
In his orchestral work, we must emphasize that was member of:
-National Youth Orchestra of Spain (JONDE)
-Academy for the Dissemination of Contemporary Music of CDMC,
-Gustav Mahler Jugend Orchester (EMI and Deutsch Gramophon)
-Lucerner Festival Academy.
He has shared the stage with renowned international soloists, mentioning among
others Eliot Fisk, Jiri Stivin, Ara Malikian or Luis González.
He had the honor of playing under the baton of Abbado, Boulez, Welzer-Möst,
Rostropovich, Metzmacher, Kent Nagano, Müller, Lopez-Cobos, Salvador Mas, Fabio
Biondi, Andrea Marcon, etc
Within the professional orchestral world, we should mention that has been:
-first trumpet in the orchestra City of Melilla,
-has covered the soloist chair in the orchestra Pablo Sarasate in Pamplona
-co-soloist in the City of Granada Orchestra.
He was selected to performance the Premiere of ”Cadiz 2012” concert for trumpet and
Orquestra of the finish composer Timo Killönen in the Bicentanary of Courts of Cádiz
(Spain). The trumpet concerto “Lorca” of the Spanish composer López-Mingo Ballesteros
is composed for him.
Ofently, he offers masterclasses around the world, with among others: Spain, Brazil,
Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Germany, Poland or Bulgaria.
He is also researcher and counts with 4 publications.
He is involved in an active social work being member of different kind of associations
(investigation, social, charity, freemasonry, education...).
He is specialist in natural trumpet, keyed trumpet and soprano sackbut.
At present, he is Principal trumpet in Jaen Symphony Band (Spain), member of Tri-Ton
(duo piano and trumpet), IBERBRASS international endroser and FIDES artist
