Francesco Tamiati completed his studies at the “A. Vivaldi ”of Alessandria with Luigi Sechi, graduating in 1984 with honors. He started his concert activity at a young age, winning numerous competitions even before concluding his studies.
He completed his training following various master classes, recalls that with Armando Ghitalla (Boston Symphony Orchestra).
He was the first trumpet owner of the Genoa Opera House and in the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana (Lugano).
Since January 2002 he has played the role of "First Trumpet" in the orchestra of the "Teatro alla Scala of Milan" and of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Scala ". In this context, among the many activities, he performed Bach's "Messa in si minor" directed by Maestro Riccardo Muti, and "Histoire du soldat" by Igor Stravinsky "directed by Maestro Daniel Baremboim.
At the same time, he carries out an intense solo activity, as well as concerts in Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, China, Korea, Japan, India and Peru.

Since 2003 he has been a trumpet teacher at the Teatro alla Scala Academy in Milan and is also a lecturer at the Musikhochschule of Italian Switzerland (Lugano).
